The Second International EBASI Conference was held 14-17 August 1990 at the University of Ghana - Legon in Accra, Ghana. It was jointly sponsored by ICTP, NSF, and the Ghanaian government, as well as the MacArthur and Rockefeller Foundations. The conference was hosted by the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences and by the Society of African Physicists and Mathematicians (SAPAM). Twenty-one invited papers and thirty-one contributed papers were presented in various topical areas of physics, engineering, and mathematics. Over 150 participants registered for the conference, representing fifteen African countries from the western, central, and southern regions.
